Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at Harewood Avenue. Most meetings are held after work, but we are happy to consider other times if we get enough demand. We aim to agree and provide the book for an upcoming meeting around 4 weeks in advance to give plenty of time to read it. If we can, we have the book ready to pick up at the prior meeting (for example, June 2023 book choice was ready to pick up in the May 2023 meeting). Alternatively books can be collected from club leads directly, just let them know.

Our monthly events are held on the penultimate Tuesday of the month, from 12:30 - 1:30.

There will be a survey sent out every month, with a shortlist you can rank and a form to place your order. You will then have a month to read the chosen book, and we will convene to discuss at our next event over lunch. There is no pressure for you to prepare anything in advance of our meetings; it is an open space where you can contribute, ask questions and share your insights or just join us for a good read and a chat!

We aim to have the books ready to collect at the event the month prior, but otherwise you can contact the club leads to discuss collection.

Our surveys have a space to offer suggestions and feedback, but if you would like to get more involved, please reach out.

Useful information

Everyone welcome!

Both regions take club member preferences into account when choosing books and will aim to cover a mix of genres, themes, authors etc. You don’t need to attend all meetings - If a particular book isn’t for you, you can give that month a miss and come back for the next. Meetings are a great chance to discuss the current month’s book, socialise, and meet others in BNP Paribas who love reading too!

BNP Paribas covers the cost of books (physical copies and on occassions, e-books). If you choose a physical copy and you are in London, you can opt to donate the book to the book exchange on level 3 of 10 Harewood Avenue once you’ve read it.
